چکیده

Micro- and nanosized plastics as persistent anthropogenic pollutants have attracted more attention in recent years. A source of nanoparticles is, for example, water-borne dispersion paint, which consists a variety different materials with potential adverse effects on living systems. Therefore, rising challenge becomes apparent to investigate remediation strategies environmental media. We address this problem by utilizing electrospun membranes filtration applications because their outstanding properties, such high surface-to-volume ratio ease functionalization. The are able successfully filter paint components, titanium dioxide polyacrylate nanoparticles, well dispersed polymers calcium carbonate microparticles. Besides the known size-exclusion mechanism, featured extraordinary effective separation components smaller than pore size membranes. This property occurs due fiber surface functionalization enables not only or dissolved mater at efficiencies up 100 % but also very low operating pressure. combination material properties cannot be achieved conventional nanofiltration thus, demonstrates application future pollutants. article is protected copyright. Electrospun Polyurethane/β-Cyclodextrin Composite Membranes for Aerosol Filtration and Adsorption of Volatile Organic Compounds from the Air

Introduction: Electrospun nanomembranes have been used for effective air filtration due to their potential for active surface modification. This study aims to synthesize polyurethane (PU) nanofiber membrane incorporated with different amounts of β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) to capture volatile organic compounds (VOCs) along with aerosol filtration from the air. Material and Methods: First, PU was sy...

A Review of Electrospun Nanofber Membranes

Electrospun nanofber membranes (ENMs) are new generation of membranes with many favorable properties such as high flux and low pressure drop. Although electrospinning has been known for more than a century, its applications in fltration and separation processes are relatively new. Electrospinning has provided the means to produce ultrathin fbers – as thin as a few nanome...

Study of Hydrophilic Electrospun Nanofiber Membranes for Filtration of Micro and Nanosize Suspended Particles

Polymeric nanofiber membranes of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) blended with polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) were fabricated using an electrospinning process at different conditions and used for the filtration of three different liquid suspensions to determine the efficiency of the filter membranes. The three liquid suspensions included lake water, abrasive particles from a water jet cutter, and suspended...

Phospholipid nonwoven electrospun membranes.

Nonwoven fibrous membranes were formed from electrospinning lecithin solutions in a single processing step. As the concentration of lecithin increased, the micellar morphology evolved from spherical to cylindrical, and at higher concentrations the cylindrical micelles overlapped and entangled in a fashion similar to polymers in semi-dilute or concentrated solutions. At concentrations above the ...
